Winter seriously plays havoc with my skin. It goes super dry and flaky thanks to the dreaded combination of cold weather and central heating. I’ve tried so many things in the past to try to sort it out; different body creams, shower gels, dry brushing and all kinds of exfoliators. Every year I’m at a loss and have no idea how to best tackle the inevitable dryness.
This year, I decided to try something I’ve never done before and make my own exfoliator. The end result was this Christmas Cookie exfoliating scrub. It smells just like a spiced festive treat, and is the only thing that has worked for me to help control my bad winter skin!
Made up of brown sugar to help exfoliate, coconut oil to moisturise, orange juice to shrink pores and cinnamon to help fight against any outbreaks or blemishes. The orange and cinnamon are also the two ingredients behind the AMAZING smell.
This Christmas Cookie scrub can be used all over the body, including the face, and leaves you feeling soft, smooth and smelling great. The only thing is that it can leave brown residue on the skin so you have to make sure that really wash it off. It’s quick and super easy to make, and only requires a few ingredients, not to mention a lot cheaper than buying one in the shops. I only wish that I tried to make this sooner.
