So I’m Rosie, the awesome person behind Cupful of Sprinkles. Dedicated to bringing you great food and tasty treats and the BEST beauty tips around. Whilst sharing my love of all things vintage along the way.
Nut Free Coeliac
Navigating the world as a Nut Free Coeliac definitely isn’t easy! But after a recent diagnosis, I’m trying to get my head around all things gluten, and still have some tasty food along the way. I’ve tried way too many ‘free from’ products, which may be free from allergens. But, is also free from taste! So, now its my aim to find healthy, indulgent and just simply delicious treats that I can actually eat!
I will admit that I’m finding it difficult to manage my way through my new diet, and at times, I’m ashamed to say that it has ended in tears and tantrums. Follow my journey as newly diagnosed coeliac, by reading my ‘Gluten Free Diary’. But I still love making food and goodies for people who are lucky enough to eat food worry free. So, you can still expect a few delicious recipes along the way to cater for everyone around.
Baking
I love to bake, in particular cakes, there’s nothing better than people taking a bite and making the delicious ‘mmmmmm’ sound; that’s how you know that you’ve done a great job. My love of baking’s quickly developed into cooking and now I’m always busy in the kitchen whipping up something to eat and experimenting with new flavours and combinations, sometimes they really (and I mean REALLY) don’t work, but other times all the hard work pays off and you end up with a taste sensation! I also love creating healthy treats and clean eats, which tastes as good as they make you feel, proving that healthy food doesn’t have to be heavy, tasteless stodge!
Make Up
I truly believe that makeup is one of the most amazing inventions and that it has true magic powers. It’s ability to completely change what a person looks like and transform a face never fails to stun me. I love sharing my makeup tips to help others look, but most importantly feel their best. Because when you have that confidence you can truly conquer the world!! Not that I’m claiming to be an expert or anything, but I’ve picked up a few tips and tricks along the way.
Changing World
I think it’s amazing the way that the world changes; how fashion and colour schemes go in and out of style and a decade can be instantly identified by certain traits. How the fashion that we once laughed at is tomorrow’s ‘in thing’, but I still think that some styles should never be repeated and should stay locked away at the back of the wardrobe! I must admit my favourite decades are the 40s-60s; I absolutely love how everybody always looked so glamorous and elegant, (even when they were just doing the milk run) and don’t even get me started on the hair, it is my absolute dream to have curls like that! And how could we forget the 60s? The laid back attitude that people had and the bright colours and designs that was seen in everything from peoples clothes to their knives and forks.
Back in 2014 I opened up my own little Etsy shop, CupfulofTrinkets where I sell some of my favourite vintage items as well as my own handmade creations, although it can be hard sometimes to have so many things going on at once, it’s definitely worth it when you get a ‘CAH-CHING’, it really is the best sound around!
