This one goes out to all my fellow nut allergy sufferers who need to check every single ingredient… In everything (even cosmetics!). And who just need to be generally paranoid about what’s around them. But, it’s one of them things that I never really used to think about. I was only diagnosed with my allergy about 3 years ago (I know, its completely crazy!), but the struggle is so real! Especially recently.
Lately, I’ve been looking for new recipes. And I seriously cannot believe how many of them contain nuts. Everything from cashews, to almonds, but mostly peanuts and peanut butter. I just never realised how popular it is as an ingredient. It’s one of them things that I really want to have, and love the idea of. On toast, as a spread, or as a baking ingredient staple. But, I couldn’t help but feel disheartened. I felt like I was missing out on something. And was determined to find a way around it.
