When it comes to makeup, I was quite a late bloomer. Everyone in my year at school were ahead of me, and were applying their foundation and mascara at about 12. I was just never really that into it though, and it didn’t really interest me. My sister was the one in our house who knew everything there was to know about looking good, and I was just the sporty younger child. It wasn’t until I was about 14 that I first started to delve into the makeup world.
At first, I honestly had no idea what I was doing, and even the smallest bit of makeup seemed like a load. I’ll admit that at times, my foundation was a bit patchy, and my eyeliner a bit wonky. But thanks to my sister, it all got sorted out. She was the one who would sit down and teach me how to look half decent with a bit of makeup on. If it wasn’t for her, I might still be walking around looking like I’ve had a fight with a beauty counter.
