These are inspired by my mum’s favourite chocolate treat… Jazzies. White chocolate discs covered with a thick layer of hundreds and thousands. They’re always huge, delicious and her one little sweet treat. After seeing how simple and easy it was to make chocolate lollipops, I decided to try something a little different, and sprinkle covered chocolate seemed like a pretty good idea.
These are one of the simplest and easiest recipes that I have and take absolutely no time at all. You can make the chocolate any shape that you want, and even change the decorations. Anything goes here, you could use heart shaped sprinkles, rainbow strands or even chocolate ones if you want a double dose. The same goes for the chocolate, you can use dark, milk, white or even a flavoured one like chocolate orange. As long as it melts you’re good.
I normally draw small circles on a piece of grease proof paper so that I have some sort of template. Then, just melt your favourite chocolate, spread it gently onto the paper and cover with a thick layer of sprinkles. Place them in them in the fridge and wait for them to firm up. And voila, all done.
Once cooled place in a tin, plastic container or sandwich bag and keep in the fridge. Perfect for a little bit of snacking or for a little homemade gift.
