Basic Overnight Oats
Overnight Oats are perfect when you don’t have a lot of time. Everything is prepped the night before, so that your breakfast is ready for you in the morning. Simply soak a combination of oats, chia seeds and milk together for a super creamy, smooth, tasty and healthy quick breakfast. You can either leave this plain, or flavour with any fresh fruit or toppings of your choice.

  1. Place the oats and chia seeds into a jar, and mix until just combined
  2. Add the milk, a little at a time, stirring constantly until thoroughly combined. It may seem like you’ve added a little bit too much milk, but this will all be absorbed overnight
  3. Place in the fridge overnight, ready for the morning
  4. If in the morning it seems like the oats have soaked up a little too much milk and the consistency is a bit stodgy for your taste, then simply add an extra 2 teaspoons of milk, and mix through
  5. Add your favourite toppings (I love lightly warmed berry puree and fresh fruit), and enjoy. I find that this is best enjoyed when it’s been allowed to warm up slightly, so leave out of the fridge for roughly 5-10 minutes before eating
