Who doesn’t absolutely love smoothies; they’re easy to make, super healthy and are a great way to sneak in some extra fruit or veggies. Although, I know the thought of a kale and spinach smoothie doesn’t sound too appealing! I love that there are so many different flavour combinations you can create, and the fact you can just throw whatever you like into the blender and see how it turns out. 99% of the time, you’re going to make something that tastes good.
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to try and drink a smoothie every day. I might not have time to whip up a fresh one all the time, but I’m gonna aim for at least 4 times a week. I think that’s pretty doable. So far, I’ve loved trying new and different flavours. Throwing in whatever I have to hand and seeing what I can create. I’ve done everything from kale, to spinach, to a delicious papaya and apple. It’s a great way to use up surplus food, and is perfect if you find that you have some fruit going a little mushy.
