Herbal Essences Cucumber and Green Tea Shampoo & Conditioner Review

February 8, 2019

Herbal Essences Bio-Renew ReviewI know, I know I’ve said it before. But this truly is the BEST shampoo and conditioner that I have ever used. Herbal Essence Cucumber and Green Tea shampoo and conditioner leaves your hair feeling soft, smooth, bouncy and undeniably clean. That may sound silly, but you know how sometimes you wash your hair and it still feels dirty? Not with this duo.

Cucumber and Green Tea

The Herbal Essence Cucumber and Green Tea shampoo and conditioner are officially my favourite hair products right now. Crafted with bio: renew, herbal essences signature blend of essential antioxidants, aloe and sea kelp. This lightweight conditioner states it will lift your hair and give it that much sought-after bounce. Promising to transform dry, rough and damaged hair in just 21 days.

Herbal Essences Bio-Renew Review

My hair has never really been that damaged. The most heat it gets is the blow dryer, as I have naturally straight hair and don’t really use curlers any more. And I’m one of those incredibly annoying lucky few who don’t have to worry about split ends and dryness. However, I do have very flat, thin hair. And I can honestly say that after just one wash with these magical products, my hair honestly feels fuller and a lot bouncier. I also noticed that it’s left my hair feeling much softer and looks overall sleeker.

The ‘No No No’ List

The shampoo has 0% parabens, gluten or colourants. Being coeliac this is a bonus. Although you can use products with gluten on the skin – it’s only meant to affect you if it’s absorbed – I do know from experience that contact allergies are a real thing and can be VERY uncomfortable! So, for me, it is reassuring that the shampoo doesn’t contain any form of gluten.

This gluten free diet has taught me how common it is to use wheat (or gluten) as a filler. It’s not needed or necessary, and it shows that this product isn’t filled with any old cheap unnecessary ingredients. And I love that their website lets you browse all the individual ingredients. So not only can you really see the benefits of each ingredient, but you can decipher the scientific jargon names to find out EXACTLY what is going on your hair. For me, this is so important as I make a point to avoid every and all products which contain nuts to try avoid any reactions.

I’ve found it’s best when used with the matching conditioner. As my hair is quite thin and flat, I normally only condition the very ends of my hair. That way, the conditioner doesn’t weigh it down and I’m not left with greasy roots which still look unwashed – been there more than once! I have really noticed a difference. My ends are super smooth and soft to touch. The ends of my hair looks noticeably smoother and overall, it just looks a lot sleeker then it did before.

Clean At Last!

I think that the one thing I love the most is how clean it makes your hair feel. Let’s be honest here, sometimes we all leave our hair that extra day. It’s fine in the morning and you think hey worse case scenario I’ll tie it up or put on a hat. And then come evening time it’s a little bit greasier then you’d like to admit and you’re worried that it’s never going to get clean again. It normally takes two rounds of shampoo for it to even remotely feel clean. But not with this! It somehow makes your hair feel clean every single time. It doesn’t matter how dirty your hair is before you wash it or how much product you’ve applied beforehand, it always makes it feel squeaky clean after just one wash. Even if you think it’s not gonna work, trust me, one wash is all you need. It’s amazing!!

This is my absolute favourite product right now, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. It leaves your hair feeling bouncy, full of life, soft and smooth. Not to mention just how clean it feels. Most shampoos are about a one-day wash and that lovely clean feeling doesn’t last long at all, but this one can easily go for 2 or even 3 days. It’s super foamy and leaves your hair feeling and looking healthy and refreshed. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan.

With a refreshing and scrumptious smell, made in a renewable factory. I love the environmental aspect and the fact that it’s 90% naturally derived. This is the perfect product to leave hair feeling clean, soft, bouncy and a lot healthier in general.

Fresh, clean and bouncy hair is just a wash away.
